Importance of Kada

Every devotee of Gurudev wears a “Kada”. Normally a person is blessed with the “Kada” on his first visit to the sevadham itself. The “Kada” that Pujya Papaji blesses and gives to everyone is made up of Copper and Silver. The Copper portion signifies Lord Shiva and the Silver portion signifies Maa Parvati (Shakti). The “Kada” enables a physical and spiritual link with Gurudev. It also provides a link of the body with the soul. (Physical and Spiritual link)

The powers of “Shakti” in the “Kada” pull out the problems of a person. The problems that are pulled out, need to be submitted to a power that can handle them. They are submitted (“samarpit”) to the powers of Lord Shiva which are also present in the “Kada”.

Significance of Laung, Elaichi, Kalimirch & Jal Prasad

Pujya Papaji blesses and gives Laung, Elaichi and Kalimirch to heal a person from his problems.
It is not necessary for a devotee to tell him his problems. When one goes to seek his blessings, he knows what the person is suffering from and gives any one or all the three to heal the person and eventually the person gets rid of his problems.

The ‘Laung’ (clove) signifies the power of Lord Shiva an ‘Elaichi’ (cardamom) signifies the powers of Maa Parvati (Shakti). Shakti – The goddess of force, power, energy or the personification of God’s female aspect, also referred to as “The Divine Mother” representing the active and dynamic principles of feminine power. Laung, Elaichi and Kalimirch are blessed by Pujya Papaji with his hands and forehead before giving it to the devotees. This touch provides Pujya Guruji’s blessings to both the things and they start to carry his powers.

The ‘Laung’ is Positive (Male) and the ‘Elaichi’ is Negative (Female). Everything in this world moves with the join of positive and negative terminals. If either one is missing, there would have been no light, which would have resulted in life coming to a ‘standstill’ in this world full of modern amenities everywhere and our dependence on them. If ‘Laung’ is placed vertically over a horizontally lying ‘Elaichi’ it takes the shapes of ‘Shiv-ling’ – The union of powers of Shiv and Shakti.

The blessed ‘Laung’ is to be consumed by the person at night. The ‘Laung’ is always swallowed (with water) and never chewed. It spiritually collects the problems (ailments) of the person through the night. The following morning, the ‘Elaichi’ is to be consumed. The ‘Elaichi’ (with the powers of Shakti) pulls out the problems of the person which are collected at one place within him and sends it to Gurudev. Both the things happen spiritually and nothing is felt by the person physically. Eventually the person gets rid of his problems.

Jal Prasad

Ordinary water is blessed by our Pujya Papaji with both his hands and then his forehead and it becomes ‘Jal’. With his touch, Pujya Guruji’s powers are passed into the ‘Jal’. Various spiritual problems can be healed with the powers of the ‘Jal’. This ‘Jal’ is given by Pujya Papaji to the devotee whom he thinks needs it.

For the rest of the devotees, Pujya Papaji blesses a container of water to make the ‘Jal’.
This ‘Jal Prasad’ is served to all the devotees at Sevadham on Bada Guruvar and at the Ulhasnagar sthan on Thursaday’s. If this Jal is taken with ‘Laung’ and ‘Elaichi’, it speeds up the healing process within a person and it makes the person feel physically and mentally comfortable.

Kali Mirch (Black pepper): It signifies the power of Maha Shakti. This blessed ‘Laung’ is used to heal a person of his spiritual problems (‘Pret-Rog’). There are a lot of spiritual problems which don’t have any answer in the medical science and doctors don’t have any cure for them. We have to believe in these miracles of God. With the grace of Gurudev, a person becomes ‘Rog-Mukt’ (Free of the ailment) as well as ‘ Dosh-Mukt’ (Free of the sins).
