How Gurudev got his name 1 How Gurudev got his name 2Our Gurudev 3

Once Gurudev was passing a village near Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh in His jeep. Some villagers stopped his jeep and requested him to carry a person to the city who was crying because of stomach pain. When Gurudev saw the person who was crying in pain, a voice came from within Him, “Keep your hand which has OM written on it, on the stomach of the person”.

The moment ‘He’ kept his hand on the stomach of that person, the person became alright and all his pain was gone. Everybody present at that moment in time called Him Guruji. From that day onwards, He is known as ‘Guruji’. Such was force in this name, that till today most of the people don’t know His name. He is known only as ‘Guruji’.

We are all born on this earth and during our lifetime, whether we are successful or not, whether we become rich or stay poor, our life cycle remains the same.
We are first born, then we grow up with good or bad education, then we start working. As we work, we gradually grow old and then die.

Further, in a day’s schedule, we get up in the morning, go to work, eat during the day and sleep at night. The timings may differ from person to person, earnings may differ from person to person, lifestyle may differ but the lifecycle or structure remains the same.
In short, during our entire lifecycle we either sleep, eat or work.

This gives rise to the most important question. Are we all born just to do this ? Is this the sole purpose of our life ? Our elders say that ‘GOD’ lives within us. Let us know how and why ?

The lifeline of human life is ‘Atma‘ (the soul). The God above us is the ‘Param-Atma‘ (the ultimate soul). This means that, every soul born in this world is a part of ultimate soul or God. During our entire lifetime, our soul is a part of god. We are a part of God and God resides within us.
Now, since we know who we are, the answer to the above eternal and important question becomes simple. Our aim of being born in this life is to merge back into the powers, from where we came. “Atma ka Parmatma se Milan“. (The merging of our soul back into the source-the eternal or ultimate soul). This is better known as ‘Moksh‘ – when the soul is finally freed from this cycle of birth and death.

People are repeatedly born in this world, either to repay for their sins or to enjoy the rewards of their good and bad deeds. ‘Moksh’ cannot be achieved until the bag of good and bad deeds of the soul is nil. Then, is there no way to rid oneself of this eternal cycle of birth and death ? There is a way. This is the Importance of the Guru in our lives. Guru is the only source by which we can achieve this most difficult, yet the only task of our soul. “Guru Bina Gati Nahin”. It means, Without The Guru, we cannot achieve our ultimate aim.

Gurudev – The source of eternal energy and all inspiration !!

And our ‘Gurudev1 is the epitome of generosity. He is there to give everyone anything that the person seeks for, all that he expects is faith and goodness. Be good to everyone, walk on the path shown by Gurudev and anybody can experience the presence of Gurudev in our lives.

Guru Kumhaar Shish kumbh hai, Garni Garni kade knot,
andar haath sanhaar de, baahar bahe chot.

Just as the potter hits the clay on the outside,he digs the extra clay and impurities to give it shape from the inside. Guru may be harsh on His children from the outside, but from inside he loves them and makes them pure.

Gurudev left His Human Form in the year 1991, on 28th July, two days after “Guru Pooja”, at His own will. In His entire Life, He lived like a normal person with simplicity. His appearance, his way of dressing, eating, moving around was like any normal person. But Gurudev had immense Powers. He had the power to bestow anything on anybody. But everyone got equal love from him and without distinction.
